My Computer Not Responding - How to fix it?

Laptop gets very sluggish and doesn't respond frequently? When your Laptop is not responding, there are few things you can do about it. Your screen locks up; mouse cannot move; keyboard won't type. And even when you use Clt + Alt + Del, the Task Manager won't respond! What is causing this problem on your PC? How to get rid of it forever?

There are three things can cause the problem. Firstly, you should run your Antivirus and do a thorough scan on your hard drive. There is a good chance that your Laptop is infected with virus which can cause your Laptop to lock up and not respond. If there is no report that indicates virus infection on your Laptop, you should make sure you don't run dozens of programs at a time. Running many programs at the same time will run out of your RAM, even though you have upgraded your RAM to 4 G. Then your Laptop won't be able to complete tasks owing to RAM shortage and will lock up.

After these two steps, some people would scream" The antivirus shows nothing wrong with my PC and I never run more than 10 programs at a same time, but it still locks up and doesn't respond once in a while. Why?" If you are one of these people, I have to say that you have come up against the problem which more than 80% PC users have faced. Your Laptop not responding problem results from your registry errors.

Registry is the data centre of Windows system which contains all the necessary information to execute tasks. It controls all the tasks on your Laptop from system startup and shutdown to run a program on your PC. For this reason, registry is very important to your Laptop performance and stabilization.

But it is very vulnerable. When you are using it, it can be damaged more or less by virus, improper install and uninstall of a program, your illegal operations or other harmful things. You have probably find that your Laptop was very fast when you first bought it. That was because your registry was clean at that time. But as time passes, it will slow down and have various problems. Because there are over many errors accumulates in your registry. That is the reason why your Laptop locks up and doesn't respond frequently.

To fix the problem, you need to fix all the errors in your registry. The best and easiest way to solve it is to use a registry cleaner. Some people try to fix the errors manually.
